Quick Shielding Solutions

A recent client’s project was to shield an 18’D X 40’L X 6’W pit for a single-joint gas line feed through a bore under a railroad in old-town Loveland, with an additional 80 plus feet excavated, but unshielded to accommodate the feed. Saw-cutting the street was a precise calculation to avoid losing it and maintain access to the adjacent historic structures. We supplied the first 40 feet as planned, but then conditions deteriorated overnight and they were losing the bottom 4 feet of the entire run and needed our help to secure the trench. We responded quickly and mobilized delivery of additional shields for the failing 80’ cut, avoiding a host of potential headaches for the customer.
